A middle-aged widower Bhuvan Shome, working for Indian Railways, is a rigid disciplinarian. He doesn't hesitate to sack a corrupt junior as well as his own son for a petty offense. Later, his visit to the picturesque countryside of Gujarat brings him the pleasant realisation that there is life beyond his mundane routine.
